: The Carpenter is responsible for constructing, repairing, and installing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and other materials. They must possess a strong understanding of carpentry techniques and be able to work with precision to ensure the quality and integrity of finished products.
Job Description
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, and work orders to determine materials, dimensions, and layouts.
- Measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling materials according to specifications.
- Installing structures such as windows, doors, cabinets, staircases, and framing.
- Repairing and replacing damaged or defective parts of structures.
- Operating hand and power tools such as saws, drills, and sanders safely and efficiently.
- Inspecting and ensuring the quality of finished work to meet standards and specifications.
- Collaborating with other construction workers and contractors to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area and properly storing tools and materials.
- Following safety procedures and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries on the job site.
