Job Summary

Urgently looking for Procurement project Manager for our client into Steel Industry in Abu Dhabi.

Job Description

Immediate joiner preferred or with short notice period.


Salary: AED 15k to 18K depending upon the experience.


Responsibilities:


•Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy for the steel rolling mill project, in


alignment with the overall project objectives and timelines.


•Conduct market research and supplier evaluations to identify and select reliable vendors and


contractors who can meet the project requirements and deliver high-quality materials and services.


•Lead the negotiation of contracts and agreements with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms, pricing, and


delivery schedules.


•Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and finance, to determine


project procurement needs and specifications.


•Manage the entire procurement process, including RFQs, bid evaluations, purchase orders, and supplier


performance evaluations.


•Monitor and track supplier performance, addressing any issues or disputes that may arise during the


course of the project.


•Proactively identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize procurement


processes and reduce project costs.


•Conduct regular market analysis to stay informed about industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and


emerging suppliers or technologies.


•Collaborate with the project management team to develop accurate project cost estimates and


budgets.


•Prepare regular reports and updates on procurement activities, including progress, challenges, and


recommendations for improvement.


 


Qualifications:


•Bachelor’s degree in engineering, MBA in Supply Chain Management will be preferred.


•10 years of proven experience as a Project Procurement Manager, preferably in the steel manufacturing or heavy industries sector.


•In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and supplier relationship


management.


•Familiarity with the steel industry and understanding of steel production processes is highly desirable.


•Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.


•Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.


•Proficiency in using procurement software and systems.


•Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities and tight


deadlines.
