We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Bakery Chef to lead our bakery team in Malta. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking, a creative flair for recipe development, and the ability to manage a busy bakery operation. As a Bakery Chef, you will oversee the production of a wide range of bakery items, ensuring that they meet our high standards of quality and presentation.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise the bakery team in the preparation of various baked goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, and desserts.


• Develop and refine recipes to create a diverse and appealing bakery menu.


• Ensure that all bakery items are prepared, baked, and presented according to established standards.


• Monitor inventory levels and order ingredients and supplies as needed to maintain production schedules.


• Train and mentor bakery staff in proper baking techniques and procedures.


• Implement and enforce food safety and sanitation standards to ensure a clean and safe working environment.


• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate bakery offerings with the overall menu.

Requirements:

• Proven experience working as a Bakery Chef or in a similar role.


• In-depth knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.


• Creative flair and passion for baking, with a focus on quality and innovation.


• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.


• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other team members.


• Formal culinary training or certification is preferred
