Job Summary

The Irrigation Foreman is responsible for leading and supervising a team of irrigation technicians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems. This position requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise in irrigation systems, and the ability to effectively coordinate resources and manage projects. The Irrigation Foreman plays a key role in ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of irrigation systems to support agricultural, landscaping, and turf management activities.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:


Team Leadership and Supervision: Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of irrigation technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and productivity. Assign tasks, schedule work assignments, and allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines and objectives. Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for skills development and training.


Installation and Construction: Oversee the installation of irrigation systems, including layout, trenching, piping, valve installation, and equipment setup. Ensure that irrigation installations comply with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations. Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to procure materials and equipment required for construction activities.


System Maintenance and Repair: Conduct routine maintenance inspections and troubleshooting of irrigation systems to identify and address issues such as leaks, clogs, and malfunctions. Schedule and perform system repairs, replacements, and upgrades as needed to ensure optimal performance and water efficiency. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inventory, and repair history. Quality


Assurance and Control: Implement quality control measures to ensure that irrigation installations and repairs meet established standards for performance, durability, and aesthetics. Conduct site inspections and quality audits to verify compliance with design specifications and customer requirements. Address any deficiencies or discrepancies promptly and take corrective action to resolve issues.


Project Coordination and Communication: Collaborate with project managers, landscape architects, and other stakeholders to plan and coordinate irrigation projects. Communicate project requirements, timelines, and resource needs to team members and subcontractors. Provide regular progress updates, reports, and documentation to project stakeholders, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations.
