Job Description:
We are looking for a friendly, energetic, and highly organized individual to join our team as a Gym Front Desk Staff member. This role involves a variety of tasks, including greeting residents, answering phones, managing member accounts, and maintaining a clean and organized gym and front desk area.
Responsibilities:
· Greet residents / guests upon arrival and assist them, as necessary.
· Assist with provision of towels and keep a log for issuance of the same.
· Manage resident / guest check-ins and monitor gym access.
· Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate staff.
· Assist in updating member account information in coordination with Residences team.
· Assist in laundry pick up and drop in coordination with the Residences and Laundry team.
· Provide information about gym services, and policies.
· Keep the front desk area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
· Resolve member issues in a professional and timely manner.
· Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous customer service or front desk experience is a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Proficient in basic computer applications, such as MS Office.
Administrative Tasks: Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, manage booking, and perform data entry tasks.
Facility Maintenance: Ensure the reception area is tidy and well maintained and report any facility issues to management.
Miscellaneous Tasks: Depending on the gym, receptionists may also need to handle first-aid situations, provide gym tours, or manage inventory of gym retail products.
Communication Skills: Receptionists should have excellent verbal and written communication skills as they interact with gym members / residents / concierge and facility maintenance team on a regular basis.
Customer Service Skills: Receptionists need to provide outstanding customer service, from resolving issues to answering inquiries.
Organizational Skills: Receptionists should be well-organized and able to manage multiple tasks at once.
Computer Skills: They should be comfortable with using computers, especially for tasks like data entry, scheduling, and email communication.
